Are you feeling like…

  • life’s moving way too fast or too slow?

  • you’ve never been able to find the right words to use at school or work, with friends or colleagues?

  • you’ve lost sight of yourself after having a child, moving, losing a loved one, a diagnosis, a divorce?

  • a boat without a rudder?

  • 3 cats in a trench coat and one day you’ll be found out?

…then pull up a chair and let’s chat.

Hi, I’m Kat

I created Sunset Momentum in 2025 to shift my traditional talk therapy practice into motion! I’ve been seeing clients of all ages in my private practice for 9 years and in the healing industry for the 6 years before that.  My clients have found me to be a welcoming, humble, humorous and straight-shooting force who can hold space for the overwhelming feelings while also remembering that therapy can be full of humanity and growth and boundary pushing.

In our sessions, you will work hard.  But there will be laughter in addition to that metaphorical sweat.  We’ll gently explore the past, so we can create an action plan for a better, more functional future. The progress we make in the therapy room, and for those who choose to take the work outside , the literal motion and energy you gain are going to help you get your more liveable, authentic and flowing life.

Momentum Therapy

Sometimes you’ve been going hard at therapy for years (or you’ve been dancing on the edge of whether to begin or not), and you find yourself in the same old ruts, the same old habits and want something…different, something out of the box, something, anything…

I’m thrilled to introduce a new arm of my therapy practice: Walk and Talk Therapy and Climbing Therapy — we will be taking this OUTSIDE!

I invite clients to either take advantage of the Outer Sunset (Sunset Dunes Park, Golden Gate Park or location we agree upon) and have Walk and Talk sessions outside.  Or, push your capabilities and belief in yourself and experience a session Rock Climbing either indoors at the climbing gym or outdoors at local San Francisco Bay Area crags. As a climber for 20+ years, I have climbed as close as the Castro and as far away as Australia, and have obtained professional certifications and training to take people safely and effectively outside.

We often hold tight our emotions and tension and breath in our bodies and in our heads — that’s often how we have been able to keep ourselves safe in times of trauma and pain.  With movement, we are going to loosen these holds and learn ways to manage, learn from and grow from them. Learn more
